The Local Government Unit of Lidlidda, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Atty. Sherwin P. Tomas, successfully conducted the Ceremonial Signing of the Deed of Donation and Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of the 2nd Ilocos Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (ISPMFC) Building.
The occasion marked not only the beginning of another important infrastructure project but also a meaningful gesture of generosity, service, and deep respect for the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities and our nation.
The subject property was generously donated by the parents of Mayor Tomas, Mr. Norberto Tomas and Mrs. Asuncion Tomas, in support of the continued efforts to strengthen the facilities and capabilities of our uniformed personnel.
For Mayor Tomas, this act of giving carries a deeply personal and profound significance. His family’s respect and affection for the country’s uniformed services are rooted in a proud heritage of military service. The donated property was originally owned by his grandfather, a World War II veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation. His father likewise served as a soldier during the 1970s, courageously fulfilling his duties in faithful service to the nation.
Thus, the donation represents more than a piece of land. It carries with it a family’s legacy of courage, sacrifice, patriotism, and service, a legacy that now continues to serve a new generation of public servants.
As the groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of the construction of the 2nd ISPMFC Building, it also symbolizes the continuing commitment of the Local Government Unit of Lidlidda to support our uniformed personnel and provide them with facilities worthy of their dedication and service.
May this project stand as a lasting testament to the Tomas family’s generosity and to a shared commitment to peace, security, public service, and the welfare of the community.
From one generation of service to another, this land now carries forward a legacy of honor and sacrifice.
NAALIBTAK LIDLIDDA!
